Postdoctoral position in structural biology, University of Bordeaux, France

We are delighted to share with you an Inserm postdoctoral fellowship position for the period of 24 months, in the field of biophysics and structural biology. The work will be carried out at the ARNA laboratory (Nucleic Acids: Natural and Artificial Regulations) located at the University of Bordeaux. The project is at the interface between NMR and cryo-EM, in order to study complexes made by regulatory proteins and DNA. Preferences will be given to candidates having extensive experience in structural calculations by NMR methods, including protein recombinant expression in E. coli. Please send your CV and referees to [email protected] and get more information from this FEBS Network post. Screening of applications started in September 2024 and will continue until a suitable candidate is found.

Postdoctoral positions, Centro de Biología Molecular Severo Ochoa, Spain

The Centro de Biología Molecular Severo Ochoa (CBM) in Madrid is seeking candidates for the CBM Postdoctoral Call. They offer 6 x 3-year postdoctoral positions with a gross salary of €40,500/year. Candidates must have strong international training, not have worked in Spain for the past three years, and have obtained a PhD in Life Sciences after 1 January 2019 (career breaks will be considered).

Candidates must have the endorsement of at least one CBM PI before applying, then candidates must submit the required informacion before the application deadline. For any questions, please visit CBM’s website or email [email protected].

Application deadline: 30 September 2024

Postdoc position in plant-microbe interactions & regulatory networks, Yale University, USA

The newly established Cantó-Pastor lab in the Department of Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology at Yale University is seeking a  Postdoctoral Scholar. This fully funded position is flexible in scope but centered on the development of new transcriptomic and microscopy tools to study the regulation of plant immunity and systemic resistance at a single cell level.

The Cantó-Pastor lab is officially opening in October 2024. This research group is dedicated to understanding how plants let some beneficial soil microbes into their roots while keeping pathogens at bay. We focus primarily on the regulatory networks that influence plant immunity during plant-microbe interactions. They develop transcriptomics, single cell-omics, and microscopy methods to explore fundamental question in plant immunity and cell type-specific regulatory mechanisms.

Applicants must hold a PhD. Degree (or equivalent) in plant sciences, molecular biology, omics, or related fields. Get more information on the position, candidate requirements, application process and contact details on the FEBS Network and please note that screening of applications will begin in mid October 2024 and will continue until a suitable candidate is found.
